The https video encoder, oupree https Encoder has been updated with new firmware as of May 20, 2024, to include support for HTTPS SSL functions. This enhancement is a significant step towards ensuring secure video streaming and transmission.
Security Benefits: By supporting HTTPS, the Oupree Encoder offers a higher level of security for video streaming. This is particularly important for applications where sensitive or private information is being transmitted, such as in enterprise environments or for streaming content that requires protection from eavesdropping or tampering.
What's the SSL?
SSL certificates, also known as HTTPS certificates, are digital certificates that provide secure, encrypted connections between a website and a user's web browser. They are a critical component for ensuring the privacy, integrity, and authenticity of online data transactions. for more information, you can visit here, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTPS
Enabling HTTPS on Oupree Encoder
To take advantage of the new HTTPS functionality, users need to log into their Oupree HTTPS Encoder. They can do this by navigating to the Network settings and scrolling down to the HTTPS section. Here, they can enable HTTPS to activate the secure connection.
Applying and Rebooting
After uploading the SSL certificates, users must click 'apply' to save the new settings. To ensure that the changes take effect, a reboot of the encoder is necessary. This process completes the setup of the HTTPS SSL function.
